In present times, gold belly rings have become very common and sought after by girls all over the world. It is becoming a new trend to wear any navel ring in general. However, this is not the way things were in the recent past. Many people used to scorn navel rings and look at them as a terrible aspect of the rebellious youth. Fortunately those times are almost over, and it has become very accepted to wear gold belly rings.
Belly piercings have only become popular within the last 15-20 years, much more so in the most recent 5 or so. This is because the social stigma related to navel piercings has gotten much better. If you ask almost any older person today if they like gold belly rings, they will most likely express their disgust over them. It’s not really their fault though; it’s just what they were raised to think. Each generation seems to become more and more accepting these days. This applies to many aspects of life besides piercings such as sex and drug use.
For anyone who wears gold belly rings though, all that really matters is that you like how you look and you like expressing yourself. I believe that no one should ever be judged on superficial things such as clothing choices or piercings. People should be free to do what they want with their bodies and be completely accepted for it. Luckily, I believe that we are moving in that direction. Within the next 10 years or so, surely gold belly rings will be completely accepted by society and not scorned at by any means.
Just remember that if anyone ever tells you that you look stupid with your navel ring or something similar, just tell them to shut up! I feel like we can speed of the process of universal acceptance if we just tell the discriminators to keep their mouths shut for once. Obviously we don’t want to put anybody down, since everyone no matter how old is entitled to their beliefs, but some people just need a quick little reality check once and awhile. If you have to, tell them that everyone you know loves your gold belly rings, and that they should just get used to it.
If you do wear gold belly rings or any navel piercings at all, you may not know what I am talking about in this article since you might live in a more open minded town or something. But there are still a lot of people out there who have old fashioned values that are unacceptable in my mind, and I don’t want to see anyone else get harassed over wearing gold belly rings. Just remember that no matter what people say to you, you look amazing with your belly piercing.
